Fishing in Oologah Lake Area

With 29,000 surface acres and over 200 miles of shoreline, Oologah Lake is a fisherman's dream. There are more than a dozen boat ramps located around the lake to make accessing the water easy and the lake's healthy fish population makes it a popular fishing destination in northeast Oklahoma. Anglers enjoy fishing for bass, walleye, crappie, catfish, hybrid stripers, bluegill, paddlefish and sunfish on the lake and it has a reputation for yielding very big catfish. Several fishing guides offer their services on the lake if you'd like some professional helping reeling in a big catch. Whatever your level of fishing experience, Oologah Lake is a great destination for an escape.
