Osage Hills State Park is threaded with trails for hikers and mountain bikers to explore, and offers both tent and RV campsites, as well as several comfy and historic native stone cabins. See one of America’s last remaining free-roaming bison herds just north of town at the Tallgrass Prairie Preserve, or take a short drive up towards Bartlesville to catch a glimpse of equine grace at the Prairie National Wild Horse Refuge. The quiet, tree-lined shores of the area’s many lakes offer peaceful, beautiful settings for any fishing trip, and the falls produced by the spillway at Bluestem Lake are a popular local sightseeing destination.
