Festivals & Events in Okmulgee

Okmulgee hosts one of the largest and longest running African American Rodeos in the nation.  This entertaining event serves food and has arts and crafts too. Another festival you won’t want to miss in Okmulgee is the pecan festival where you will find what is arguably the largest piece of pecan brittle ever made.

The Muscogee Nation holds an annual cultural festival in Okmulgee and one important part of the festival is the traditional Stomp Dance that keeps the tribal traditions alive.  There are games for the children, live music, arts and crafts and great food.
