Hudson Lake Area

Located on the Grand River, Hudson Lake is a top fishing lake and also offers plenty of water and outdoor recreation opportunities. With 12,000 surface acres of water and 200 miles of shoreline to explore, Hudson Lake draws outdoors enthusiasts from all around the region. Anglers flock to Hudson Lake to fish for a variety of bass species, crappie, channel catfish, bluegill, saugeye and perch. Perhaps the most prized game fish in Hudson Lake are hybrid striper bass that put up quite a fight and the massive paddlefish that anglers, including country music star Blake Shelton, have enjoyed snagging. Several campgrounds located around the lake offer tent and RV campsites, picnic areas and playgrounds and you'll also find boat ramps and marinas to make your trip convenient.

In the Hudson Lake Area you'll find the towns of Pryor, Salina and Locust Grove offering attractions, lodging and dining options for visitors. Pryor is known widely as the home of the Rocklahoma and Born And Raised music festivals that draw tens of thousands of attendees each year. Pryor also hosts the American Cowboy Trade Days events, offers a great nature trail system, is the home of internationally-known Native American artist, Traci Rabbit and has many lodging and dining options. Salina is home to Blue Hole Park, a hidden gem featuring a spring fed swimming hole, as well as the Salina Highbanks Speedway and its well-known on-site Finish Line Restaurant. Locust Grove offers a second scenic body of water, the W.R. Holway Reservoir, plus Zoo Safari where the whole family will enjoy meeting exotic animals. Wonder City Coffee in Locust Grove serves delicious coffee drinks and one of the best Saturday brunches in the area.
