Skiatook Lake Area

With 10,190 surface acres and 160 miles of shoreline to explore, Skiatook Lake offers some of the best fishing and outdoor recreation in the region. Skiatook Lake offers bountiful fishing for bass, crappie, channel catfish and bluegill as well as drum and carp. Fishing tournament directors have taken notice of Skiatook Lake and brought several tournaments to its waters. The lake offers outstanding boating conditions, uncrowded waters and wonderful marina facilities. Families can enjoy a day at the lake and enjoy swimming, boating, fishing, hiking and even hunting around the lake.

There are plenty of lodging options in the Skiatook Lake area including cabins, vacation rentals, hotels and you can even rent a houseboat and stay on the lake. Book a stay at the upscale Cottages at CrossTimbers Marina, stay at the Osage Hotel and Casino in Skiatook or camp in one of the many tent and RV campsites located around the lake.

The Skiatook Lake area offers many attractions in addition to the lake itself. Go skydiving, take a treetop canopy zipline tour at Post Oak Lodge & Retreat and enjoy gaming thrills at the Osage Casino. Head into nearby Hominy to spot the public art that makes this charming little town shine with murals and the famous New Territory Sculptures that sit high on a hilltop overlooking the town. Pop into the Cha Tullis Gallery to browse unique Native American artworks. You'll also want to explore the history of the area at the MKT Depot, White Hair Memorial and Fred Drummond Home. If you want even more to explore, Tulsa is within 15 minutes with a myriad of attractions and dining options.
